Basic Liability Cover (Excess Applies and Liability Reduction is
available as hereunder) and Free Kilometres as specified for that class
of vehicle. Excess kilometres are charged at 39 cents per kilometre
over the specified free allowance each day. We ask that you refill the
tank to the amount it was at the commencement of hire, otherwise
charges for fuel will be made. Rates

Liability Reduction (LRP) according to your choice and Government Sales
Tax (GST) of 10%.
RATES EXCLUDE: Fuel, Oil, Government (State & Federal) Taxes, Under 25 and Over 70 Drivers and Right Hand Drivers where specific charges apply.For Drivers aged between 21+ and 24 years, an additional charge of $ 8.00 Per Day will be incurred. Charges for Drivers 21 and Under or 75 years and Over (POA) available on request. Rates shown on the Web Site are for Drivers between 25 and 75 Years of Age. Learners Licences and L-plate Drivers are not acceptable. LIABILITY COVER: Basic Liability cover is included in all our rates and is subject to the Terms & Conditions of the Rental Agreement. By payment of a Liability Reduction Premium (LRP) at commencement of the hire, liability may be reduced. A Liability of between $ 3,000.00 and $ 2,200.00 on ALL our Cars applies to all hires for drivers between 25 years and 69 years of age. This Office MUST hold funds sufficient to Cover the Hirers' Liability at any given time by way of Pre-Authorisation of the Liability chosen. Failure to have the required minimum available Credit Balance will render all Liability Cover Null and Void and constitute Fraudelent Hire and Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle belkonging to this Company. NOTE: Single Vehicle Accident nullifies/cancels all Liability Reduction! ALL Damage/Loss cover ceases at the Time and Date of Return of the Vehicle as on your Rental Agreement. If any extension of the Hire is taken by the Hirer without first coming to the Office and paying the due Rental Charges, no liability cover will exist until such time as the Extension Charges are paid in full and, in such instance, liability will recommence from the Time and Date of the Extension Charges being paid. Liability of the Vehicle ceases when the Vehicle has been PHYSICALLY Checked In by our Staff at the Depot nominated for Return and during Daylight Hours and, in the case of Filthy or Mud Covered Vehicles, at such time as they are able to be cleaned prior to being Checked In. Vehicles returned after 4.30 PM on any day will be deemed to have been checked the next Working Day! DURATION OF RENTAL: ALL rentals are based on 1 Day being 24 Hours from the commencement of the hire! Extra Hours are charged at 1/3rd of the Daily Rate upto 3 Hours whereby an extra day's rental applies. Late intentions of return must be notified at the commencement of the hire and such fact noted on the contract in writing. All extensions of the hire require 48 hours notice to the Office during Hours of Business. We do not permit refunds on Early Returns and ALL forms of Cover, including Liability / Damage / Loss ceases at the Time and Date of Return as specified on the Face of the Contract. Final Liability of the Hirer ceases ONLY when the vehicle has been physically checked in by our Staff at the nominated Time and Place of Return, conditional to the vehicle being in clean condition. Should the vehicle be returned filthy, then Liability will only cease once the vehicle has been cleaned and the Staff are in a position to physically check the vehicle in. DRIVERS LICENCE: Drivers must hold a current driving licence valid in their country of residence. A surcharge of $ 8.00 per day applies for drivers 21-24 years of age. For Drivers Under 21 Price On Asking (POA) ONLY. L-plate licences are not acceptable. PICK UP & DROP OFF: Free Pickup and Drop Off service is provided in the Local Area ONLY and is always subject to staff availability. No Pickup and/or Drop Off Services available on Weekends and/or Public Holidays. AREA OF USE: All vehicles are for on-road use only (Off-Road or unsealed road usage will incur severe penalties!) and Radius Restrictions apply as follows : Radius Restrictions: 30 kms from Depot in Surfers Paradise, unless prior arrangements are made for extensions at the commencement of hire and such entry written on the face of the Rental Agreement with full payment of the charges applicable for such extensions made at commencement of hire. Pre-Booked vehicles may qualify for unlimited kilometres within the Gold Coast Boundaries (for Hires 10+ Days) although Gold Coast Metropolitan Use and Country Restrictions and conditions apply! All Vehicles are for ROAD USE ONLY! Charges apply where Vehicles have been driven Off-Road! BABY SEATS AND BOOSTER SEATS: One Baby Seat / Booster seat supplied free of charge (and conditional to availability). Additional seats are ordered and charged at $ 3.30 per day. Please be advised that such seats must be booked in advance in order to avoid disappointment, especially during busy months. STREET DIRECTORIES: Complementary Street Directories are supplied with each vehicle rented. Loss or non-return of such Street Directories will incur a $ 40.00 Replacement Fee. RELOCATION:
As per the Contract and Clause 2.3 therein. All relocations are subject
to Minimum Hire Periods and charges apply.
FUEL: All Hirers are requested to return their vehicles with the same fuel and levels as at the start of the Hire. We do not possess Petrol Pumps on the site. Consequently, charges will apply if the vehicle is returned with lesser fuel than it went out with. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: All OUR vehicles are covered by RACQ 24 Hour Fleet Roadside Assistance which is included in the cost of rental FREE OF CHARGE. However, please note that ALL Human Errors are charged for at the rate of $ 55.00 Per Instance (i.e. Keys locked in car, Ran out of Fuel, Lights left on and battery discharged, etc..) PEAK PERIODS: During peak season and public statutory holidays, Seasonal Surcharges/Minimum rental periods apply. No Trade Exchange or Barter Dollars accepted during PEAK SEASONS. REFUNDABLE BOND: On collection of your vehicle, a Refundable Credit Card Bond is required. Cash and/or EFTPOS deposits are BOTH unacceptable. The Bond applicable should cover the nominated Liability Excess and MUST be available within the Credit Card's available balance. Upon return of the hired vehicle in the same condition as when it was rented, such deposit will be refunded. WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DINERS CLUB CARDS AT ALL!!! Acceptable Credit Cards are : Bankcard, Visa AND Mastercard ONLY!!! HIRE DUTY:
State Government Hire Duty applies to all forms of Rentals in all
states in Australia and is applicable to the Rental Agreements too. All
Rates and Prices quoted are subject to this State Tax which is added
onto the cost of hire.
RESERVATION/BOOKING CHARGES: To reserve the car you must pay the reservation deposit, as quoted, using Visa / MasterCard / Bankcard. This will be charged directly to your Credit Card and you pay the balance of the rental costs when you pick up the car. On receipt of your deposit we make your reservation. We will e-mail - fax or post, if you prefer - a Reservation Confirmation Receipt. The Confirmation will contain details of your rental, pick-up procedures and contact telephone numbers for emergencies. Because of differing time zones & office hours please allow at least 48 hours between making your reservation and your intended pick-up and/or drop-off time. Important - Please do not assume that a vehicle is available until you receive written confirmation. Whilst we make every effort to ensure complete accuracy, we regret that we can not accept responsibility for errors however caused. A non-refundable and non-transferable Reservation Fee of TWO DAYS RENTAL is calculated and charged at the time the Reservation is made. All vehicles may not be available at all times and geographic driving restrictions may apply. Similar Category/Class of Vehicle may be substituted. Please enquire for full details on rates and conditions.
For further details on our Cancellation Policy, please refer to the
Cancellation Policy Section hereunder. Once a Booking has been charged
to a Hirer, the vehicle is taken off the Rental Fleet for the Specified
Time and made available for the Hirer. Should the Hirer not have the
required available Deposit/Liability as chosen by the Hirer and
available on their Credit Card, the vehicle will continue to be held at
the Depot until completion of the Hire Period and will not be made
available to the Hirer until such time as their chosen Deposit/Liability
can be authorised. No Refunds will be entertained in such instances.
If the Hirer does not have sufficient funds to cover their chosen
Deposit/Liability, we recommend reducing your Deposit/Liability to a
more manageable amount.

PAYMENT POLICY: Full payment is required to confirm the Reservation. For Bookings of more than 60 Days prior to your arrival, you may choose to pay a Deposit of TWO DAYS RENTAL (Minimum) with the balance to be charged automatically 30 Days prior to the arrival date. Please read the Conditions herein. SEASONAL SPECIALS: All "SPECIALS" advertised must be paid in advance as stipulated. "SPECIALS" Offers are non-refundable, non-upgradeable and non-transferable. Minimum and maximum hire conditions apply. All "SPECIALS" have minimum pay in advance requirements. ALL SPECIALS ADVERTISED AT THIS SITE MUST INCLUDE A SATURDAY NIGHT! VEHICLE INFRINGEMENTS: Are the responsibility of the hirer. Infringements processed incur a $ 65.00 ADMINISTRATION FEE. All fines can and will be traced back to the hirer by virtue of the Rental Contract duly signed. CANCELLATION : We will refund your deposit in full provided we receive your written notice of cancellation by fax at least 7 Days before the rental time. In the event of flight cancellation we will normally refund your deposit in full on provision of airline confirmation. In all instances, once a Booking is made and you cancel your Booking 8 (Eight) Days or more prior to your travel, a TWO DAY CANCELLATION FEE APPLIES!
PLEASE NOTE: With respect to "Pre-pay Online Special Rate" Bookings,
ALL Bookings are charged in FULL at the Time of Booking due to Booked
Vehicles being removed from our rental fleet of vehicles availabile
for Hire! This excludes "Pay on the Day or Telephone / Walk-In Rate"
Bookings where the Full Rate is paid and not Discounted as on the
"Pre-pay Online Special Rate". This request to pay the Full Price
can be made in writing in the "Special Requirements" Section in
Step 2 of the Bookings Pages. Unless a request is made to pay the
Full Rate, ALL Bookings will be considered to have been made at the
"Special" Price stated as "Pre-pay Online Special Rate" and will be
charged at the time the Booking is received. For any Cancellations
to be made, such cancellation must be made in writing and within
48 Hours of the original Booking Time & Date. No Refunds will be made
for any cancellations after the specified 48 Hours Period! However,
Days credited of equal value will be available for use up to and
including 90 Days from the Original Date of Hire. No Days are credited
for No-Shows or Hires that are allegedly cancelled without prior written
notification via email or facsimile to this Office and received by this
Office followed by written notification to you confirming your
cancellation in writing too! Bookings received without valid Credit Card
details, will be deemed to fall into the category of "Pay on the Day or
Telephone / Walk-In Rate" and will be charged accordingly!
! If you cancel your Booking 7 (Seven) Days or less prior to your travel, or if you do not arrive for your Booking, NO REFUND IS AVAILABLE. In other words, that means that a Cancellation Fee of 100 Per Cent of the Total Cost of your Booking applies. Refunds do not apply to any "SPECIALS" Offers that have been reserved. Once a vehicle is Booked on a "SPECIALS" Offer, and no WRITTEN Cancellation Notice is given to this office at least 28 (Twenty Eight) Days prior to Cancellation, the Hirer is liable for the Rental Sum for the Period as was Originally requested. NOTE : Car Hire Products and Services referred to in this site are available from our Gold Coast Offices at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, Australia, and now extended to Brisbane on a Trial and Availability Basis ONLY.
